Scott Rooney (Junior)

Keith Parrish (Junior)

Nick Dean (Sophomore)

The Owls had a very successful 2017 season. Bensalem had a heartreaking loss to Methacton High School in the District playoffs.

Key regular season wins came against: CB South, CR North, and Pennsbury.

The pitching staff led the way for Bensalem, posting 9 shutout victories!  Steven Aldrich was a mainstay on the mound all year, posting an ERA of 1.08. Nick Dean also pitched well, with a 1.9 ERA. Dom Grady, Nick Fossile, and Keith Rooney also contributed greatly.

With the pitching came defense. Sophomore shortstop Nick Dean played tremendously up the middle all year long, and had a solid season hitting,  batting in the three hole for the Owls.

Outfielder and lead-off hitter Keith Parrish was the spark-plug of the offense, creating havoc on the base paths.

Junior catcher, Scott Rooney, had an outstanding year behind the plate once again. His bat also came alive in the second half of the season.

Senior, Trevor McGee batted fourth all year long and was a constant challenge for opposing pitchers. McGee had a batting average of .377 and an on base percentage of .484.

Nick Dean is one of the best players I have coached, 'team MVP.' Steve Aldrich had a phenomenal year on the mound. It is the best single season pitching performance I have seen at Bensalem. No one practiced harder than Keith Parrish day in and day out. Brian Swentkowski played an outstanding infield playing all three positions: third-base, shortstop, and second base."   - Coach Daut

Anthony Robinson, Justin Parker, Trevor McGee, Mike Bellardino will be missed.
